Christine McAllister

Teaching is an absolute passion of mine!  I am so excited to work with you and your child.  It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us!  I thought you might like to know a little bit about me.

I was born in San Antonio and later moved to Irving when I was in the seventh grade.  I graduated from Irving High School in 1995. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Kevin for 20 years. We have a son, John Michael, who will be in sixth grade this year. He takes up most of my free time, but some of my hobbies are crafting, reading and traveling.

I have lived in Emory for 20 years now.  I went to college at TAMU in Commerce and graduated in 2001.  I began my teaching career in Greenville where I taught first grade and Pre-K for thirteen years.  This will be my sixth year teaching Kindergarten at Rains Elementary and I am proud to be a Wildcat!  I absolutely love teaching.  It is my passion! I want to instill a love for learning in my students.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. It is so important to keep communication open between us and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need.  I look forward to a great year together!
